RPC / HUBS
The Hubs programme identify and develop cricket talent, as well as schools’ cricket programmes, in communities that lack adequate cricket facilities and a widespread culture of cricket. The programme operates in partnership with existing clubs and schools that already have facilities. The hubs are a critical next step for kids identified during KFC Mini-Cricket Festivals, and who are ready to make the transition to hardball structures.
The Hubs play in an inter-Hub league, and this feeds into a Regional Performance Centre (RPC) programme. The RPCs play in the top schools league. Talented cricketers who are identified within the Hubs and RPC programme are channelled into Traditional and Focus schools whenever this is a viable option; this will ensure that these children are benefiting from the facilities, resources and systems that are already in place from as young an age as possible.
The Focus Schools Programme Focus Schools are generally former ‘Model C’ schools with existing cricket infrastructure, and a transformed demographic profile.
